Joseph Contes is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Master Certified Addictions Professional. His professional career includes work in both community based and private sector mental health services, most recently overseeing the student outreach program at the University of South Florida. In his role as a clinician, Joseph can be described as compassionate, genuine and adaptable. He uses a person-centered, trauma-affirming approach when working with his clients, but remains flexible to ensure that his clients always receive the best therapeutic style to fit their needs. Joseph approaches his role as a therapist by first building a foundation of unconditional and radical acceptance for who his clients are, while also respecting, affirming and partnering with them to meet their personal goals for therapy.

Outside of his professional role, Joseph enjoys swimming in pools or the beach (no lakes for him!) He also enjoys baking, which his co-workers appreciate as well.
